Mariola and Aitana
10 - 17th February:
This is a variation on our original El Comtat cycling holiday, with new routes. This holiday is suitable for the experienced cyclist. The pace however will be leisurely, with plenty of time for coffee breaks and lunch.
Detailed itinerary below.
Saturday
Arrival.
Transfer from Alicante airport to arrive at your accommodation, check in and assemble your bike.
If your arrival time is early enough there will be time for a short ride to familiarise yourself with the area, and check for any problems with your bike.
Sunday
Guadalest 74kms.
A more or less out and back ride with a circuit of the spectacular lake at Guadalest. The village has numerous bars and shops, and the castle makes an interesting visit.
Monday
Ibi 64kms
Through Alcoy mainly on a cycle path until we join the Alcoy Via Verde to Ibi.
Tuesday
Petracos 81kms
A longer ride to the beautiful Petracos road. First to Val d'Ebo then on to Castell de Castells.
Wednesday
Beniarres lake circuit 42kms.
A ride around the lake near Beniarres.
Thursday
Port de Tudons 45kms
Ride up the Port de Tudons, used regularly for local races as well as the Tour of Spain
Friday
Bocairent 47kms
A ride to the ancient town of Bocairent, vis Agres and Alfafara, with a nice easy finish!
Saturday
Holiday ends
Holiday ends after breakfast. Transfer to Alicante airport.
